Watch a Butterfly Release!

Meet the friendly folks over at the Florida Native Butterfly Society!

Their 3,615 square-foot glazed glass butterfly house is the only facility of its kind that is dedicated to the safeguarding of our incredible and diverse native butterflies of Southwest Florida. Their primary goal is to educate guests on the importance of building butterfly habitats and protecting our natural environment wherever they may reside.

Unlike most facilities, the members of FNBS are allowed to breed butterflies. This gives visitors a chance to witness the entire process of metamorphosis. They actively breed several different species throughout the year, contingent on weather conditions.

Open 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday at 1815 Fowler Street in Fort Myers. For more information, visit floridanativebutterflies.org.
