Car traffic during season can certainly be busy. It’s not uncommon to see folks walking, running or bicycling to avoid the congestion at peak times.

But joggling? That’s a new one to us!

Dr. Terry Odom, an eye doctor from Danville, VA was recently caught practicing this unusual skill — which combines jogging and juggling — on Sanibel Island along Periwinkle Way.

The video was posted on an Instagram account that praises the elderly that are young at heart. The video now has over 113,000 views!

“I was about 11 miles into a 13-mile run when they videoed it, so I’m going kinda slow. I’m a little bit embarrassed by it to tell the truth,” he said.

“I’ve been joggling for quite a while, since I was 30,” he said, adding that it is a great workout and makes you a better athlete.

His wife, Susan, said he joggles almost every day.

“I think it’s great because it give him an outlet. He really enjoys it and he likes to run,” she said. “He said it was really boring to just run!”

On March 18, he will be joggling in the Wrightsville Beach Half Marathon in Wilmington, NC and is using his newfound fame to encourage others to donate to the Samaritans Purse.
