Celebrating its 21st anniversary, the annual MangoMania Tropical Fruit Fair will take place July 15 – 16 at the German American Social Club in Cape Coral.
MangoMania was created in the mid-1990’s as a way to celebrate the annual crops of mangoes and other tropical fruits harvested on neighboring Pine Island. Started as a simple celebration, MangoMania quickly grew into a full-blown family-friendly festival spanning two days, and today attracts between 7,000 and 10,000 people annually.
During the event, attendees enjoy live entertainment, educational seminars, kids activities and more. For the adverturous ones, adults and kids can try their hand at pie eating contests, the Mango Hat Decorating Contest, the Mango Throw, and the Mango Juggling Contests.
More than 100 vendors will be strewn about the event offering a number of goods, services, food, and drinks to ensure attendees and their families can take their time and enjoy a full afternoon at the event, with many of the food and drinks being made with a Mango twist.
