We caught up with a special Ocean’s Reach guest: Dottie Bordon, who has wintered at Ocean’s Reach for more than 20 years. When not living on Sanibel Island, Dottie resides in Ohio.
Q: What’s your favorite helpful hint for new Ocean’s Reach guests?
A: Buy a newspaper! I’m never far from home with my USA Today and Fort Myers News-Press.
Q: What would you spend your first $10 of vacation mad money on?
A: That’s easy: I’d go to Schnappers Hots for their sausage sandwiches and The Sanibel Bean; it’s a great coffee house and easy to ride to on my bicycle.
Q: Name your three favorite Sanibel vacation activities.
A: Ding Darling, beaching, biking, kayaking and walking. I can’t name just three!
Q: What’s best about the new Ocean’s Reach?
A: I love the outdoor grove for grilling and picnics, the lush, colorful landscaping and the efficient office. They do it all!
Q: What would we be surprised to know about you?
A: I’m an open book. No surprises!
Dottie is looking forward to hosting spring breaks for all her grandchildren and their families.
Guest Services Update
On your next vacation to Ocean’s Reach, we’ll welcome you back with fully equipped, freshly cleaned and updated condo interiors.
All condos have recently undergone extensive cleaning and servicing, including hallways, stairs, corridors and carports. We’ve also just sealed and cleaned the pavers and resurfaced Camino del Mar Drive. You’ll love our fresh, new and clean look!
At your request, we’ve upgraded our Guest Starter Kits of paper towels, toilet paper and soaps to be more eco-friendly. Thanks for the suggestion!
We’re in the planning stages for a makeover of the beach walkovers, as well as improvements in the Guest Services Center, welcome signage and exterior amenities. Stay tuned!
