City Seeks Residents Assistance for Shared Use Path Grant Application

Dear Sanibel Resident:

With much public input, the City of Sanibel recently completed a comprehensive Shared Use Path Master Plan. The Plan calls for various investments necessary to improve the safety and infrastructure of Sanibel’s Shared Use Path System. At this time, we are seeking grants which may assist in reducing the costs to the City.

One of the grants that we are currently working on is the Kodak American Greenways Award. We are pursuing this grant with the purpose of implementing adequate directional signage along the Shared Use Paths. The grant gives special consideration to community based projects that have significant resident support. Therefore, we need you.

If you would like to send an email to be included in the grant application package explaining why you enjoy and appreciate Sanibel’s Shared Use Paths and the importance of these paths to our community, please send an email to sanadmin@mysanibel.com by 5pm, Friday, June 26, 2009.

Thank you for your consideration.
