Dear Tom and Pam, Those photos are just incredible!! I assume the pix of the Roseate Spoonbill were taken at Ding Darling? What kind of camera do you have? Thanks so much for sharing! I shall be visiting Ocean’s Reach in July and hope that I can see at least some of these beautiful creatures!!

Thanks for your kind feedback. The picture of the roseate spoonbill was taken at Ding Darling with a Canon XSi camera and their 70-300mm lens. We’re trying to transition from a point-and-shoot camera to a SLR. We rode bikes to Ding Darling in the morning and used a small tripod. Most of the beach pictures were taken at sunrise – our favorite time of day on the beach.
Enjoy your visit in July – we can’t wait to get back.
