NO!!! Not McT’s… My absolute FAVORITE all you can eat shrimp place on the island. Please say it ain’t so, that this is just a prank and all will be back to normal when we return next summer. I am so, so saddened by this news. Farewell McT’s you will be sorely missed by me, my family and undoubtedly a very, VERY long list of people.

I’m sorry but it is true. There were 3 farewell parties with drink and food specials for all their faithful customers held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I’ll try and share a photo or two. I think a lot of Sanibel visitors will be in total shock when they return next year. It was an island icon!

To be honest it’s no surprise to me. We ate there Memorial day weekend and had lousy service,poor quality food and unclean surroundings. We had the manager over twice but he gave the impression that he couldn’t care less.
To add insult to injury they had the nerve to add 18% service charge to the bill. I know you are not obliged to pay it but we just wanted to get out with no more hassle.
Don’t believe me then check out some of the recent reports on Trip Advisor and you’ll get the picture.
We have had Great food and service there in years gone by but they were in a downward spiral and couldn’t get out of it.
Hopefully they will reopen in the future with new management and a new attitude.
