The Sanibel Schoolhouse Theater is now called the Herb Strauss Schoolhouse Theater. The Herb Strauss Schoolhouse Theater is Sanibel’s only professional musical theater. They hire professional actors from all over the country and offer musicals and comedies during the year. For a schedule of upcoming events please visit their a website.

As you all know the 24th of October was the 25th annual Bailey Fest filled with excitement for all! there were pony rides, mule and wagon rides, hayrides, singing and dancing, food and refreshments and much more! Over the next few days we will be sharing some pictures for those of our friends who were unable to join in the festivities!

Guests at Ocean’s Reach recently had their driving skills tested during their Sanibel vacations, while Camino Del Mar was getting a seal coating, one lane at a time. It was just a little tricky for a short period!

Just a note to say we had another wonderful visit to Oceans Reach. We are already planning our next visit.

Almost everyone who visits Sanibel enjoys shelling, and as you can see from the picture, there is no shortage. Pam Rambo, an avid sheller who does most of her shelling in front of Ocean’s Reach, has a blog “iLoveShelling” that she would like to share with any of us who would like to learn more about shelling. On this particular day that we are linking to, she has a great video of a lady catching a beautiful Snook near Ocean’s Reach. So enjoy her blog and her videos and send your thanks to Pam!

Bob, an owner at Ocean’s Reach, is sharing a photo of his with us. He writes, “I thought you might like to see the photo I took in Maine a few weeks ago. Look carefully at the straggly tall pine tree on the photo which is the second tall tree from the right side of the photo. Then at the top look for the white dot, then zoom in if you can; there the eagle is perched. Our octagon is in the distant background. This is on Frenchman’s Bay”.

September is the month for savings on our sidewalk. Periwinkle Place, Tahitian Gardens and The Village Shops are popular places to buy souvenirs, gifts and resort clothing.
Restaurants have great dinner specials as a reward for your long beach walk!
