Congratulations Elizabeth Daugherty upon your high school graduation. This lovely mother and daughter share the same size and designer wardrobe for the special occasion!
Lyn and Jay are owners of 1C1.
We look forward to seeing the whole family when they visit over Christmas holiday and Elizabeth’s break from U of Missouri in Columbia.
Men, you can tune this out. After a couple months of letting my hair grow out, I knew I was way overdue for a good cut and style. The Village Shops had a ribbon cutting for several new businesses last winter. Tribeka was one of the new establishments! The owner was very welcoming and after inquiring about his services, handed me a card for a free cut.
After frantically searching through all my business cards last week, I finally found the hand written offer. I quickly called Tribecka and asked if there was any time available that day. They said no, but 12:30 on Friday would be good. I was so excited, especially since I didn’t have to fight for the free cut.
Friday arrived and I hid my hair under my Ocean’s Reach cap and walked in and said,”I’m here and I’m so ready! Do whatever it takes.”
I said I wanted a more feminine look and shared how I usually wear my hair–side part, height in the crown, thin bangs…and that I don’t play it safe. He said, “I can see the fire in your eyes.”
Dominez learned the hair salon business at age 17 when he needed a job in his native Queens. This successful business owner learned from the father..Vidal Sassoon. As he was working with my hair, I asked him what he was doing. He said he was “framing” my hair. Sassoon taught him that hair styling was about architecture.
I received a luxurious hair wash, framing, cutting, styling and drying with a hair brush that resembled a paint roller brush!
I just closed my eyes and voila…a new do for Dru. I asked him, “Don’t I need height in my crown?” All my preconceived ideas about my hair were gone with the wind.
Please try this studio. The receptionist (his wife) is very kind and professional, and the studio is very beautiful. Domizio is very attentive and knows what he is doing!!
They also have a manicurist/pedicurist who takes a natural approach–no acrylics. Tribeca manicures are $20 and pedicures are $30. Throughout September, they are offering 50% off.
Men’s cuts are also done. Tribeca Salon is located in the Village Shops, 2340 Periwinkle Way. To schedule an appointment, call 395-3800.
I’ll be back!
